YouTube is temporarily suspending President Donald Trump’s channel for at least seven days after he received a strike for violating the platform’s policies.

“After careful review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to the Donald J. Trump channel and issued a strike for violating our policies for inciting violence,” YouTube said in a statement.

The company added, “As a result, in accordance with our long-standing strikes system, the channel is now prevented from uploading new videos or livestreams for a minimum of seven days — which may be extended. We are also indefinitely disabling comments under videos on the channel, we’ve taken similar actions in the past for other cases involving safety concerns.”

Twitter announced on Friday the platform permanently suspended the president’s personal account, as IJR previously reported.

Facebook extended the block on Trump’s account “indefinitely,” and for at least “until the peaceful transition of power is complete.”

After Twitter’s announcement, Trump slammed the social media giant, as IJR previously reported.

“As I have been saying for a long time, Twitter has gone further and further in banning free speech, and tonight, Twitter employees have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me — and YOU, the 75,000,000 great patriots who voted for me,” Trump wrote in a statement.

He added he “predicted” the ban would happen.

Trump indicated he would be looking into the possibility of creating a platform of his own.

“Twitter is not about FREE SPEECH. They are all about promoting a Radical Left platform where some of the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely. STAY TUNED!” he continued.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel called Trump’s Twitter ban “problematic.”

Shares of Twitter Inc fell over 6% earlier this week following the company’s decision to block Trump.
