A beauty influencer is using her disability to make a difference. Hannah Tyre was born with Osteogenesis imperfecta and spoke to "Good Morning America" about how it impacts her life. "It affects my bones. My bones lack collagen, and so they're very fragile," she said. Tyre went on to share how she has had to deal with fractures, surgeries, asthma, and other various issues as a result of her disability. Osteogenesis imperfecta is a genetic disorder that is inherited. There are an estimated 20,000 to 50,000 people who are currently living with it just in the U.S. alone. It is also a "progressive condition that needs life-long management to prevent deformity and complications," according to Stanford Children's Health. Tyre's love for makeup started when she was a little girl going to meetings with her mom, who was selling Avon cosmetics. After getting "a big makeup kit" for Christmas and discovering beauty influencers on YouTube, that's when she decided to start her own YouTube channel. Tyre wants to use her platform to inspire others with disabilities. "Growing up I didn't really see a lot of women or really anybody in the media with a disability. So I kind of wanted to do something to show people with disabilities that you can do this too," she said. Tyre told "Good Morning America" that she thinks it "really awesome" that the beauty industry "is becoming more diverse" by "showcasing different types of beauty." "Beauty just means being confident and just owning who you are," she said. Psalm 34:5 also says that those who look to God "are radiant." Currently, Tyre has over 15,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, "Beautybyhannah215."
