Actor Woody Harrelson received backlash after he wore a hat in support of Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

On Thursday, Kennedy’s wife, actress Cheryl Hines, posted a photo of her and Harrelson, 62, on Instagram with him donning a hat that reads “Kennedy 2024.”

“Great seeing you Woody,” Hines wrote in the caption.

However, users on Instagram were less than thrilled with Harrelson’s endorsement.

“Men would rather support a antisemitic antivax Qanon whack job instead of going to therapy. Meanwhile, Cheryl just leaning into the whole thing,” one user wrote referencing Kennedy’s controversial statements claiming the COVID-19 virus was “targeted to attack Caucasians and black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese,” per the New York Post.

Another user wrote, “Ugh! I love Cheryl but her husband is not who we need and is gonna make it harder to keep trump (sic) out of the White House.”

Another user claimed Harrison has “absolutely lost it.”

“I thought he was better than that!” the user added.

Robert Kennedy is the one who spread disinformation about measles vaccines and ended up killing hundreds of children in Costa Rica???

Yeah….fuck him, Woody Harrelson and everyone who supports this https://t.co/1jULbhi6Nn

Users on X, formerly known as Twitter, also expressed their outrage over Harrelson’s support of Kennedy’s presidential run.

“Woody Harrelson was always a little bit weird. Now it’s quite obvious his cheese slid all the way off his cracker!” one user wrote.

In May, Kennedy, 69, announced his “candidacy for the Democratic nomination for president of the United States,” during his campaign event in Boston.

“My mission over the next 18 months of this campaign, and throughout my presidency, will be to end the corrupt merger of state and corporate power that is threatening now to impose a new kind of corporate feudalism on our country,” he declared.
