A popular social media influencer opened up about her decision to leave feminism to become a stay-at-home girlfriend (SAHG) in a viral trend.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, “Nia Chi,” 22, who has gained millions of views on TikTok for showcasing her luxurious lifestyle, revealed that getting into a relationship with her millionaire boyfriend led her to reject feminism and step down from the corporate ladder in marketing.

She also revealed that before her relationship she wanted to “get her tubes tied.”

“It was like the feminism left my body,” she said of her relationship.

Additionally, Chi explained what it means to be a stay-at-home girlfriend.

“A stay-at-home girlfriend (SAHG) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s housewife status without the ring,” she shared.

She further explained that she stays home while her boyfriend works.

“I take care of the house. I consider myself a homemaker as well as a SAHG. And, then, eventually, when we get married and have kids, I’d be a housewife and a stay-at-home mom,” she stated.

Speaking on how she met her boyfriend, Chi said, “I was still working, so I was all for… climbing the corporate ladder.”

Growing up as an only child, Chi said her parents, who are business owners, raised her “to be super independent” from a “very young age” and to “have a crazy career or have a crazy business and make something huge.”

During the interview, Chi detailed her daily life as a stay-at-home girlfriend, starting with what she called “slow mornings.”

“So, no two days are the same. We don’t set an alarm, so we wake up whenever. I love slow mornings,” she shared.

She continued, “I’ll usually cook breakfast and dinner. Sometimes lunch. I pretty much do all the cleaning.”

Furthermore, she said her boyfriend is “a guy and he’s making all the money” and she doesn’t require him to do “anything around the house.”

“I know that’s very controversial. It works for us. I don’t mind cleaning,” she said, adding “It’s a very relaxed and happy life.”
