If you haven’t been living off the grid for the past month, you likely known President Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech is happening on Thursday evening.

And in light of his upcoming speech, which comes with a lot of attention as he is seeking re-election amid major concerns about his age, the White House did something quite odd.

A post on Biden’s X account read, “You may’ve heard I’ve got a big speech coming up. So, I thought I would hear from some folks who have done the job before – sort of.”

It included a video of actors who played president’s in movies such as Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas, and Bill Pullman speaking about their “presidencies” to give tips to Biden.

Watch the video below:

White House staffers, specifically Democrat ones, like to come up with weird ways to feature Hollywood stars all the time. Usually, however, there tends to be some kind of a message they are promoting.

But this video features actors… speaking about crises they didn’t actually face while they weren’t really president to… pump up Joe Biden?

It has a similar feel to when former President Donald Trump said his favorite movie “Air Force One” because he liked how Harrison Ford “stood up for America.”

What is the point of this? Honestly. It’s just weird.

We’ve frequently been told even though we don’t see much of Biden — sometimes days go by without anything on his public schedule — he’s just so busy and working so hard for America. First Lady Jill Biden sought to push back on concerns about Biden’s age and his limited public schedules by claiming he does “more in one hour than most people do in a day.” Meanwhile, MSNBC’s Joy Reid insists he looks so old because “the presidency ages you when you do the job.

And then when he probably should be working on and rehearsing his speech to make sure he doesn’t look at the word Gaza and say Ukraine, or wax eloquent about the conversation he just had with former French President Francois Mitterand who has been dead for three decades, he’s apparently so busy he has time to just chill and have a good time with his pals in Hollywood for no reason.

On a side note, given Biden’s propensity for making up amazing but ridiculous, false stories, someone sure make sure he knows Pullman was not actually a president and he was not actually receiving advice from someone who led the U.S. through an alien invasion — because that would be awkward to come out in his speech.
