The White House is sharing information about where a second set of classified documents in President Joe Biden’s possession was found.

In a statement Thursday morning, Special Counsel to the President Richard Sauber said, “As we stated previously, we are fully cooperating with the National Archives and Department of Justice in a process to ensure that any Obama-Biden Administration records are appropriately in possession of the Archives.”

Sauber explained Biden’s lawyers have “searched the President’s Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, residences” after the discovery of a set of classified documents at the Penn Biden Center in November.

“During the review, the lawyers discovered among personal and political papers a small number of additional Obama-Biden Administration records with classified markings,” the statement continued.

It added:

“All but one of these documents were found in [a] storage space in the President’s Wilmington residence garage. One document consisting of one page was discovered among stored materials in an adjacent room. No documents were found in the Rehoboth Beach residence.”

Finally, Sauber said, “As was done in the case of the Penn Biden Center, the Department of Justice was immediately notified, and the lawyers arranged for the Department of Justice to take possession of these documents.”

“The White House will continue to cooperate with the review by the Department of Justice,” the statement added.

On Monday, it was reported a U.S. attorney is reviewing approximately 10 classified documents found in an office used by Biden.

His lawyers reportedly contacted the National Archives on Nov. 2, 2022, after they discovered documents from his time as vice president in an office he used while he was an honorary professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

The documents were reportedly retrieved the following day.

CNN reported the documents contained intelligence memos on Iran, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.

Biden told reporters on Tuesday he was “surprised to learn that there were any government records that were taken there to that office.”

“But I don’t know what’s in the documents. My lawyers have not suggested I ask what documents they were,” he added.

And on Wednesday, NBC News reported a second set of classified documents had been discovered in another location. However, it was unclear initially where the documents were found or their classification level.
