Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is set to host a big-dollar fundraiser for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Despite her vow to refrain from seeking contributions from wealthy benefactors — even during her own bid for the White House — Warren is committing to hosting the virtual event for Biden which is scheduled to take place on June 15, according to The New York Times.

Further details about the event remain scarce as those who have spoken publicly have done so under the condition of anonymity, according to the Times.

The Massachusetts senator’s decision to host the upcoming event comes months after she vowed not to host high-dollar fundraisers or receive sizable donations from wealthy donors while she ran in the presidential race for the Democratic nomination.

Not one to mince words, Warren has often shared her opinion of billionaires and their financial influence on the U.S. economy.

In a previous email to supporters, Warren noted her stance on campaign contributions from wealthy donors.

“That means no fancy receptions or big money fundraisers only with people who can write the big checks,” Warren previously said in an email to supporters.

She continued, “It means that wealthy donors won’t be able to purchase better seats or one-on-one time with me at our events. And it means I won’t be doing ‘call time,’ which is when candidates take hours to call wealthy donors to ask for their support.”

After suspending her presidential campaign, Warren made an effort to align with Biden, whom she served with under the Obama administration.

“In this moment of crisis, it’s more important than ever that the next president restores Americans’ faith in good, effective government — and I’ve seen Joe Biden help our nation rebuild,” Warren previously wrote in a post when she endorsed the former vice president.

Reports also suggest the Democratic lawmaker is being considered as a potential to become Biden’s running mate for the general election in November.
