Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is swiping at President Donald Trump after the president refused to participate in a virtual presidential debate.

The Democratic lawmaker noted during an interview on “The Real” that some may speculate Trump would not debate Biden because he had COVID-19. She then, however, began clucking like a chicken, adding, “You know, a total chicken.”

“He knows that he just got spanked in that first debate,” Warren continued, blasting Trump’s behavior during the first debate, saying he “blustered.”

She added, “I think right now he’d like to say that he really wants to debate again, I think Joe Biden should call his bluff because one of two things will happen — either Trump will back up or Trump will show up, and either way I think the American people in even bigger numbers are turning away from Donald Trump.”

Watch the video below:

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) made known that the second presidential debate would go virtual, but that announcement sparked outrage from the Trump campaign. The president slapped down the idea of a virtual debate.

After back-and-forth statements between Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaigns, the Oct. 22 debate is still scheduled to occur.

Since the second presidential debate originally scheduled for Oct. 15 was cancelled after Trump refused to participate, the president will now participate in an NBC News town hall at 8 p.m. EST on Thursday. It will occur the same night and time as Biden’s town hall on ABC News.

This comes after Trump returned to the campaign trail after being treated for a coronavirus infection. The White House physician has said the president is no longer a “transmission risk to others.”
