ABC's "The View" is back but temporarily without co-host Whoopi Goldberg. On Tuesday, the talk show made its return after a brief summer break. "We're back!" co-host Joy Behar said to kick off the first episode of the show's 27th season. She noted, "As you can see, Whoopi is not here. She has COVID." As the audience booed, Behar chimed in, "It's back! But she's on the mend." "She's on the tail end and she'll probably be back this week. But sorry she's not here for those of you who were looking forward to seeing her," she added. "These are new seats and I feel like I'm in a hole here. Can I get a pillow please to raise me?" she asked.
