Superstar Taylor Swift appeared unamused in a viral video after Golden Globes host Jo Koy made a joke aimed at her during the 2024 awards show.
On Sunday, Swift, 34, appeared at the ceremony, aired on CBS. She was nominated in the newly introduced category Cinematic and Box Office Achievement for her “Eras Tour” film, per People. This was her fifth Golden Globes nomination.
In the clip, posted by Variety on X, formerly known as Twitter, Koy noted that the award show aired after the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Swift is currently dating Kanas City Chief’s player Travis Kelce, 34, and has been regularly seen cheering him at his games.
“As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader. The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift, I swear,” Koy said of the “You Belong With Me” singer.
However, Swift remained straight-faced as she proceeded to take a sip of her drink.
In a previous interview with Time, Swift, who was named the magazine’s 2023 “Person of the Year,” opened up about the attention she has received due to her highly publicized relationship with Kelce.
“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she said of her attendance at his games. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”
She continued that she is sensitive to the attention that’s put on her when she shows up. “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
