A video of incoming White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre making a comment about Fox News has resurfaced.

On March 15, 2020, Jean-Pierre posted a clip of her appearance on “AM Joy.”

She added the caption, “Fox News was racist before [coronavirus], they are racist during coronavirus, and Fox News will be racist after the coronavirus.”

Jean-Pierre explained on the show, “So there is nothing new here. I think the difference is they are all-in on being state TV for Donald Trump, and so they will continue to give the misinformation.”

She continued, “The danger is, so yes, you have Asian Americans right now whose lives are seriously in danger. And, you have their own viewers who can now, the ones who are 60 and older who are watching, this is a health crisis that we’re in, this is a global pandemic, as the WHO have said, and they’re putting their lives in danger.”

Jean-Pierre suggested what Fox News is putting out there is “going to hurt people, and not help them.”

Just days after Jean-Pierre posted the clip, The Washington Post reported on comments made by Fox News hosts about who is to blame for the pandemic.

“This calamity, this pandemic, was avoidable,” Tucker Carlson said.

He added, “It happened because China hid the truth about what was happening from the rest of the world.”

Sean Hannity claimed their “months-long coverup is now causing death and destruction and carnage all over the world.”

Laura Ingraham said, “China has blood on its hands.”

Jean-Pierre will soon face questions from Fox News reporters.

President Joe Biden announced in a statement last week Jean-Pierre would be replacing Jen Psaki, as IJR reported.

“Karine not only brings the experience, talent and integrity needed for this difficult job, but she will continue to lead the way in communicating about the work of the Biden-Harris Administration on behalf of the American people,” Biden said.

He added, “Jill and I have known and respected Karine a long time and she will be a strong voice speaking for me and this Administration.”
