The Columbus Division of Police is taking on Pride Month — by decking out a vehicle dubbed the “pride cruiser.”
“I’m your LGBTQIA+ liaison officer and we are unveiling… our pride cruiser for the month of June!” the officer said in the video posted last week.
The caption read, “Happy #PRIDE Columbus!!! Make sure to say hi to Officer Lutz when you see him out and get a photo with our PRIDE cruiser!”
The side of the vehicle reads, “Report hate crimes.”
“Love is love” can be read on the cruiser as well.

The month of June is LGBT Pride Month. President Joe Biden wrote in a proclamation, “During Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) Pride Month, we reflect on the progress we have made as a Nation in the fight for justice, inclusion, and equality while reaffirming our commitment to do more to support LGBTQI+ rights at home and abroad. I often say that America can be defined by one word: possibilities.”
A “Drag the Kids to Pride” event that occurred on June 4 in Dallas, Texas, made headlines. The event was advertised as a “family friendly spin off of our famed Champagne Drag Brunch.”
The Western Journal reached out to every U.S. senator asking if they support banning “kid-friendly” drag shows. Only one Republican said yes.
The outlet noted that other Democrats and Republicans either did not respond or dodged the question.
Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kansas) responded, “What happened to the innocence of children? The hyper-sexualization and grooming of young children have become an obsession of the far-left in this country.”
He continued, “Any respectful parent would never allow a child to watch, let alone participate in, pornographic drag shows. The tail has been wagging the dog for too long with this garbage, and the dog is about to bite back.”
Texas state Rep. Bryan Slaton (R) announced in early June he would introduce legislation to “[protect] kids from drag shows and other inappropriate displays.”
