Vice President Kamala Harris was roasted on Twitter after sharing a memory from her childhood involving a conversation with her mother.

On Monday, Harris shared the memory during a conversation on climate policy at Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities in Colorado.

“I grew up learning about – we called it ecology at the time and so some of us who were born around that time know what I’m saying – and we talked about it in the context of conservation,” she said.

Harris added, “In fact, I’m going to share with you a very simple story, which is that I went home one day and I said, ‘Well, why are conservatives bad, mommy?’ I thought we were supposed to conserve things.”

She continued, “I couldn’t reconcile it. Now I can.”

Harris proceeded to laugh.

Another user argued it is “unbelievable that she is the VP. Her mannerisms, her hate for half the country, just unbelievable.”

There is nothing funny about Kamala’s incessant cackling, she’s buying time to consider what to say.

It’s a bonus if Kamala can provoke laughter from the audience, that gives her even more time to figure out what to say.

President Joe Biden has also had some of his earlier memories called into question, including a claim involving civil rights activism while he was a teenager.

In February 2020, The Intercept published a story titled, “Ahead of South Carolina Vote, Joe Biden Faces Questions Over Claims of Civil Rights Activism.”

The outlet pointed out, in 1987, “Joe Biden said he was a teenage civil rights activist, then said he wasn’t. Now he says he was. Does he have a hazy memory, or is this all malarky?”
