Social media reacted to country superstar Dolly Parton rocking a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader uniform during her halftime show for the team’s Thanksgiving game.

On Thursday, Parton, 77, sported a white vest with blue stars, a tiny blue crop top, and white shorts while she performed at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show during the Cowboys game against the Washington Commanders, according to People.

She also showed off her midriff in the iconic uniform and was covered with crystals head to toe, bejeweled with a crystal star covering her belly button.

Following her performance, where she sang some of her classic hits “Jolene” and “9 to 5,” and songs from her new album “Rockstar,” released on Nov. 17, per Rolling Stone, users on X, formerly known as Twitter, didn’t hesitate to share their reaction on her get-up.

“Dolly Parton, 77, rocks skimpy Dallas Cowboys outfit during NFL halftime show. You go girl, you are my hero!” one user wrote.

Another user wrote, “So, [Dolly Parton] looks AMAZING. I want her plastic surgeon. She has the face and body of a 50 year old (sic).”

The user also cheered Parton on, adding, “You go, girl!”

One user praised Parton and called her a “legend of kindness and talent.”

“Dolly Parton will be remembered that way,” they continued.

However, one user emphasized the importance of recognizing Parton’s abilities over her appearance.

“Stop celebrating how good [Dolly Parton] looks for her age. Celebrate her personality, philanthropy, talent, and success instead,” the user shared.

Another user seemingly expressed his disapproval of Parton’s youthful attire.

“Are you ok with 77 year old (sic) Dolly Parton dressing like a 20 year old (sic) Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. Yes? or No?” the user inquired.

One user wrote, “Say what you want, but find me. Near 80 year old (sic) woman who is hotter, more talented, a better philanthropist and solid American woman!”

Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren compared Parton to President Joe Biden who turned 81 on Nov. 20.

“So Dolly Parton is just a few years younger than Joe and yet she can walk and talk and dance and sing while ‘the big guy’ struggles to exit a stage. Perspective,” she wrote.

In October, Parton was announced to be the performer for the 2023 halftime game in partnership with the Salvation Army in a press statement.

“Wow! What an honor to get to kick off the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign with the halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys game this Thanksgiving. Those Red Kettles have long been a symbol of hope for our friends and neighbors who are facing hard times,” Parton said in her statement.

She added, “My goal is to encourage everyone who can to donate and support their neighbors in need. Every small act of generosity helps, and together, we can all love our neighbors this holiday season and beyond.”
