President Joe Biden is yet again making the rounds on social media with a remark he made during an event for Black History Month.

While speaking at the White House during the event Monday, Biden said, “I may be a White boy, but I’m not stupid.”

The crowd erupted in laughter.

He added, “I know where the power is. You think I’m joking? I learned a long time ago about the Divine Nine.”

One reply included a flashback to one of Biden’s more memorable comments.

During an event in Iowa in 2019, Biden said, “Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids,” adding, “Wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids.”

The president later attempted to clarify his remark.

“Look, I misspoke,” Biden told reporters at the time.

He explained, “I meant to say ‘wealthy.’ I’ve said it 15 [times]. On the spot, I explained it. At that very second, I explained it. And so, the fact of the matter is that I don’t think anybody thinks that I meant anything other than what I said I meant.”

Deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield also issued a statement at the time.

Bedingfield said Biden “misspoke and immediately corrected himself.”

She added, “Joe Biden has spent his life fighting for civil rights and the dignity of all people. The Trump campaign posting the video without the Vice President’s immediate correction is patently disingenuous — and it’s no coincidence this comes days after Joe Biden laid out how this president emboldens white nationalism and embraces racism.”
