Fox News host Tucker Carlson is accusing the Biden administration of “spying on him” to take his show “off the air.”

During his show on Monday night, Carlson said he heard from a “whistleblower from within the U.S. government” who warned him the National Security Agency (NSA) is monitoring his electric communications and “is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air.”

He explained, “Now, that’s a shocking claim, and ordinarily we’d be skeptical of it.”

Carlson continued, “The whistleblower, who is in a position to know, repeated back to us information about a story that we are working on that could have only come directly from my texts and emails.”

He then claimed “the NSA captured that information without our knowledge and did it for political reasons.”

Carlson argued, “The Biden administration is spying on us. We have confirmed that.”

The Fox News host said they filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request asking for information the NSA and other agencies have gathered about his show.

“Spying on opposition journalists is incompatible with democracy. If they are doing it to us … they are almost certainly doing it to others,” Carlson said.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) reacted to Carlson’s claims on Twitter.

“They spied on President Trump’s campaign, so it’s not surprising they’re spying on Tucker Carlson too. The Left wants a state where all opposition is monitored and ideally eradicated,” Boebert tweeted.

She also called on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform to “immediately and thoroughly investigate [Tucker Carlson‘s] claim that the NSA is spying on him.”

The House Committee on Oversight and Reform should immediately and thoroughly investigate @TuckerCarlson‘s claim that the NSA is spying on him.

If this is indeed true, criminal charges should be brought on those who have violated this private citizen’s rights.

Boebert continued, “If this is indeed true, criminal charges should be brought on those who have violated this private citizen’s rights.”

Others have expressed skepticism about Carlson’s claim.
