Former President Donald Trump has Twitter buzzing with speculation after teasing a big announcement.

Trump posted a short video on his Truth Social platform with the caption, “AMERICA NEEDS A SUPERHERO! I will be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow. Thank you!”

The video itself provided little information about the announcement.

However, it included what appeared to be a cartoon of him with lasers shooting out of his eyes and a superhero costume.

The post comes a month after Trump announced his third White House run.

And with the lack of clarification about what the announcement will be, Twitter users shared their thoughts on forthcoming news.

Conservative commentator Todd Starnes asked, “Will he announce a third party run? House Speaker bid? His running mate?”

Meanwhile, Noam Blum suggested, “He’s coming back to twitter because everyone is talking about Elon and not him.”

Conservatives were not the only ones to speculate about the announcement.

Actor Rob Reiner tweeted, “Trump says he’s going to make a major announcement tomorrow. Unless he admits to being responsible for leading an Armed Insurrection to Overthrow the United States Government, there will be nothing major about it.”

Mike Sington, a former senior executive at NBC Universal, wrote, “Donald Trump making a ‘major announcement’ tomorrow. Unless it’s ‘I’m guilty, and turning myself in’, no one cares.”

Perhaps it will be a newsworthy announcement tomorrow, such as him naming a running mate or a major policy position.

If the announcement is about him returning to Twitter, it might be considered a “major” announcement.

But if it is something the political world shrugs off as no big deal, it could lead people to ignore other announcements.

Normal people only have so much bandwidth to think about politics. And Trump is going to have to be careful about how and when he decides to try to make news. Otherwise, he’ll just come off as weak and desperate for attention.
