President Donald Trump is celebrating the construction of 200 miles of border wall along the Mexican border.

During a trip to Arizona on Tuesday, Trump signed his name on a plaque on the wall.

“It’s really foolproof,” Trump said after signing the plaque. “Heavy concrete inside the steel, and inside the concrete, we have rebar.”

Trump was joined by Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R), Sen. Martha McSally (R-Ariz.), Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.), and Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf who also signed the plaque.

Trump travelled to Arizona on Tuesday to commemorate the construction of more than 200 miles of the border wall.

During a roundtable event in Arizona, Trump claimed that Democrats do not talk about the border wall anymore because “we won the battle.”

“The wall is never mentioned anymore,” Trump said, adding, “The reason it’s not mentioned — it’s not that we won the battle. It’s that it’s such a compelling thing to have done.”

As the coronavirus led states to implement stay at home orders, the Trump administration began filing lawsuits against landowners whose property is in the path of the wall.

By late-May, the government had filed two dozen lawsuits against landowners for the construction of the wall. The Wall Street Journal reports that the number of lawsuits is more than all of the lawsuits from the previous eight months combined.

Trump’s visit to Arizona comes as he seeks to shore up support in a state that he won by 90,000 votes in 2016.

However, an average of polls from RealClearPolitics finds that former Vice President Joe Biden leads Trump by 4% in the state.

In a statement, Biden blasted Trump for his visit to the state, “Yet once again, instead of doing the hard work needed to solve the public health and economic crises facing America, Donald Trump remains focused on his expensive, ineffective, and wasteful ‘wall’ on our Southern Border.”
