Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden is expected to announce his running mate sometime this week.

All the world knows about Biden’s running mate is that whoever it is it will be a woman, as the former vice president committed to picking a female vice president.

During an interview on Outkick on Tuesday morning, President Donald Trump was asked about the Biden’s vice presidential search.

He said, “I think that I would be inclined to go a different route than what he’s done.”

“First of all, he roped himself into a certain group of people,” he continued referring to Biden’s commitment to choosing a woman. “Some people would say men are insulted by that, and some people would say it’s fine.”

Listen to the president’s comments below (starting at 19:55):

Whoever Biden chooses, Trump said he does not think it would make too much of a difference in the electoral landscape, “You can pick George Washington to be your vice president. Let’s pick up Abraham Lincoln coming back from the dead. They just don’t seem to vote for the vice president.”

Although, the president went on to say that it will be a “very important pick” because “Joe’s got some things going on — let’s not kid ourselves.”

While Trump said he is “interested” to see who Biden chooses, he added, “In the end, I don’t think it’s going to matter. Joe’s going to have to stand on his own two feet.”

Biden is expected to announce his running mate his week, and some of the reported front-runners for the position include Sens. Tammy Duckworth (Ill.), Kamala Harris (Calif.), Rep. Karen Bass (Calif.), and former national security adviser Susan Rice.
