Former President Donald Trump alleges that former Vice President Mike Pence is making up stories about him that are “absolutely false.”

Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social on Wednesday afternoon that he had watched Pence “make up stories” about him, labeling them as “absolutely false.” Trump’s post referenced a speech Pence delivered in New Hampshire criticizing Trump for instructing him to “terminate” parts of the Constitution, according to Axios.

“Was just watching Mike Pence make up stories about me, which are absolutely false,” Trump wrote in his post. “I never said for him to put me before the Constitution-I don’t talk that way, and wouldn’t even think to suggest it.”

Trump continued, “Mike failed badly on calling out Voter Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election, and based on the fact that he is at approximately 2% in the Polls, with no money or support, he obviously did the wrong thing.”

“His advisors have led him down a very bad path!” Trump added.

Fox News host Bill Hemmer questioned Pence about a line in his upcoming speech that calls for Americans to abandon the “siren song of populism” that Trump and other political candidates are promoting.

BILL HEMMER: "One of the lines you're set to deliver is, are we going to follow the siren song of populism away from the timeless conservative principles of the Republican Party?"

“You look at this Republican field, whether it’s my former running mate or some of his imitators, and there is a push in this Republican primary to move us away from our party’s historic commitment to American leadership on the world stage, to a commitment of fiscal responsibility and reform in the face of a massive national debt crisis,” Pence explained.

Pence continued in his speech by saying a “leading candidate last year called for ‘the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution’ while his imitators have a demonstrated willingness to brandish government power to silence critics and impose their will on opponents.”
