Former President Donald Trump is taking aim at Vice President Mike Pence.

In a statement on Wednesday, Trump wrote, “Had Mike Pence referred the information on six states (only need two) back to State Legislatures, and had gutless and clueless MINORITY Leader Mitch McConnell (he blew two seats in Georgia that should have never been lost) fought to expose all of the corruption that was presented at the time, with more found since, we would have had a far different Presidential result, and our Country would not be turning into a socialist nightmare!”

“Never give up!” he added.

The former president also took a swipe at Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), the No. 3 Republican in the House, calling her a “warmonger.”

He suggested Cheney “has virtually no support left in the Great State of Wyoming, continues to unknowingly and foolishly say that there was no Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election when in fact, the evidence, including no Legislative approvals as demanded by the U.S. Constitution, shows the exact opposite.” He did not cite any specific example for his claim on the election.

Cheney has denounced Trump’s remarks about the 2020 presidential election, accusing him of “poisoning our democratic system.”

House Republican colleagues are reportedly looking to remove Cheney from party leadership. A source suggested a vote could come as early as May 12, according to Reuters.

According to a report by Axios, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was apparently caught on a hot mic before his “Fox & Friends” interview this week saying, “I think she’s got real problems.” He also reportedly said, “I’ve had it with … I’ve had it with her. You know, I’ve lost confidence. … Well, someone just has to bring a motion, but I assume that will probably take place.”

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), the No. 2 Republican in the House, supports replacing Cheney with Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.).

Scalise’s communications director Lauren Fine told CBS News, “House Republicans need to be solely focused on taking back the House in 2022 and fighting against Speaker Pelosi and President Biden’s radical socialist agenda, and Elise Stefanik is strongly committed to doing that, which is why Whip Scalise has pledged to support her for Conference Chair.”
