President Donald Trump is headed to Walter Reed Military Medical Center after testing positive for the coronavirus.
“President Trump remains in good spirits, has mild symptoms, and has been working throughout the day. Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days. President Trump appreciates the outpouring of support for both he and the First Lady,” White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement.

White House physician Sean Conley penned a memo to McEnany earlier to inform her of the treatment the president has received thus far.
“Following PCR-confirmation of the President’s diagnosis, as a precautionary measure he received a single 8 gram dose of Regeneron’s polyclonal antibody cocktail,” Conely wrote.
He added, “He completed the infusion without incident. In addition to the polyclonal antibodies, the president has been taking zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and a daily aspirin.”
Conley noted as of this afternoon Trump remained fatigued but in “good spirits.”
According to Conley, Trump’s wife Melania remained well with “only a mild cough and headache.”
The rest of the first family tested negative for the coronavirus on Friday.

Trump tweeted a video to provide Americans with an update on how he is doing and to express his appreciation for their support before heading to the hospital.

“I want to thank everybody for the tremendous support,” Trump said.
He continued, “I’m going to Walter Reed Hospital. I think I’m doing very well, but we’re going to make sure that things work out. The first lady is doing very well. So thank you very much. I appreciate it. I will never forget it.”
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) were among several to send their best wishes to the president.
“Let us just all pray for the president’s health. Thank God the Vice President has tested negatively and the second lady as well,” Pelosi said, as IJR previously reported.
Biden took to Twitter to offer his prayers to the president, as IJR previously reported.
“Jill and I send our thoughts to President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a swift recovery,” Biden wrote.
He added, “We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family.”
