They say a picture is worth a thousand words. For one Irish woman, one picture was worth $823,000.

Kamila Grabska claimed a 2017 car accident left her unable to work and was suing RSA Insurance. She cited back and neck pain as the reasons, according to Business Insider.

She claimed she has been unable to work for five years, “could not carry her children, finish basic chores, or lift a heavy bag and that, at times, she needed her medication to be brought to her in bed due to the pain,” the Business Insider reported.

However, Grabska took part in a competition where people threw 5-foot trees to see who could throw the furthest.

The case did not go past Thursday when a photo of the 36-year old woman throwing a spruce tree as part of a Christmas-tree-throwing competition on Jan. 8, 2018, was shown to the Irish High Court in Limerick.

“The Irish Independent reported that Grabska admitted to Judge Carmel Stewart that she won the competition,” according to the Business Insider. “A 2018 article from the outlet named her as the victor in the ladies’ event.”

After the photo was shown, her complaints of spine, back and neck pain were muted.

“It is a very large, natural Christmas tree, and it is being thrown by her in a very agile movement,” the Irish Independent quoted Stewart, the presiding judge, as saying. “I’m afraid I cannot but conclude the claims were entirely exaggerated.”

The court also saw footage of Grabska playing with a dalmatian in a park for about 90 minutes, the Irish Independent reported. The footage was taken in November 2023.

Her hearing was dismissed on Thursday, court records show.
