Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) continues to spread the allegation Israel bombed a hospital despite evidence to the contrary.

Speaking to a rally in favor of a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war, Tlaib insisted people think “it’s OK to bomb a hospital.”

She started to tear up as she said, “You know what’s so hard sometimes is watching those videos and the people telling the kids don’t cry, and like, let them cry!”

“They can cry, I can cry, we all can cry. If we’re not crying something is wrong! And so I’m telling you right now, President Biden, not all America’s with you on this one. And you need to wake up and understand that. We are literally watching people commit genocide,” Tlaib continued

Finally, she added, “We will remember this!”

Watching the videos out of Gaza from the aftermath of Israeli strikes is heartwrenching. Any loss of life is. Though it must be noted, what’s happening there is a direct result of Hamas’ massacre of Jewish civilians in Israel.

Tlaib’s theatrics here are horrific. She has apparently latched onto the claim Israel bombed a hospital — which was originated by Hamas — despite evidence to the contrary.

Israeli officials denied they had aircraft operating in the area and released what they say is radar data showing rockets from Gaza passing over the hospital.

Additionally, U.S. defense officials said there is “high confidence” intelligence that Islamic Jihad and not Israel was responsible for the blast.

Meanwhile, journalists have raised doubts the damage sustained by the blast was consistent with an Israeli air strike. The Intercept’s Murtaza Hussain shared a picture from the location of the hospital on Wednesday and wrote, “Provisionally this image does not look consistent with an airstrike. In daylight it’s clear that the hospital building itself was not leveled but rather the cars in the parking lot may have ignited.”

And keep in mind, the images Hussain referred to were from reporters in Gaza. They were not released by Israel or the IDF.

Tlaib’s emotional comments come shortly after a reporter asked her about evidence disproving the allegation against Israel.

So she is either so conspiracy-minded and suspicious of U.S. intelligence agencies she is discounting the evidence that has been released, or she is willfully dismissing that information and choosing to believe terrorist propaganda regardless of the antisemitism and violence it can provoke.

It is also interesting that when Tlaib was asked about the reports that 40 babies were murdered by Hamas, she did not have this response even though there were images of bloody cribs and burned bodies. Instead, she fled the reporter asking the question.

Meanwhile, Hamas has not produced any kind of evidence such as shrapnel to prove there was an Israeli airstrike on a hospital.

Tlaib’s behavior is disgraceful for a member of an institution that is supposed to represent Western values such as democracy and equal justice.

It is not just to blame deaths from a failed rocket launch on anyone but those responsible for the incident.

And continuing to promote dangerous terrorist propaganda brings the House and her district into disrepute.
