Tara Reade is criticizing the Democratic Party, saying it has a double standard when it comes to someone like presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

During an exclusive interview with Megyn Kelly, Reade discussed one aspect of the situation that has led to an array of emotions for her.

When Kelly asked Reade about the “double standard” she has seen from Democrats amid her allegation against Biden, she noted the stark difference in the way Reade has been treated in comparison to Christine Blasey Ford during Brett Kavanaugh’s case.

Kelly singled out multiple female Democratic leaders and public figures including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Sen. Keirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), and actress Alyssa Milano saying they “certainly seem to have changed their tune when it comes to you.”

Reade not only criticized the Democratic party collectively but also singled out Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-Mass.) reaction.

“It makes me upset, it makes me angry, because those were people I respected, some of which I voted for or worked with in some capacity,” Reade responded, adding, “I supported Elizabeth Warren, who basically said she believed Joe Biden and just dismissed me.”

Reade also expressed concerns about the message the Democratic party appears to send when it comes to allegations against key candidates.

See Reade’s remarks about double standards:

Due to the lack of support Reade has received from the Democratic party as a result of the allegation, she has opted to distance herself from politics.

“I’m leaving the Democratic Party and I won’t be part of any,” Reade said. “I won’t be a Republican; it’s just not my political belief system. I’ve been pretty much progressive all my life … I feel politically homeless.”

Reade also offered her opinion of both party’s reactions, saying, “I don’t really care deep down if they believe me or not … but I want other survivors to know that they can come forward.”
