A former Senate staffer, who is currently under investigation for allegedly filming gay sex in the Senate hearing room, is also being accused of sexual harassment.

According to Business Insider, Aidan Maese-Czeropski was fired from his position with the office of Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) over the weekend.

This comes after a sex tape allegedly involving lewd acts in the Senate Hearing room were leaked by the Daily Caller.

Now an op-ed in the Washington Examiner is decrying these actions as “sexual harassment.”

The author, Tiana Lowe Doescher, wrote, “Filming yourself having anal sex in a shared workspace is about as textbook a case of workplace sexual harassment as they come.”

“Even with a Weinstein-esque quid pro quo or act of physical aggression, a public display of sex at work constitutes creating a hostile work environment, a subtype of sexual harassment,” she added.

Doescher then recalled Cardin’s remarks following the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

He said, “I refer to the U.S. Capitol as a sacred space because it’s so much more than a building where the Senate and the House of Representatives meet and conduct business.”

After being fired due to the leaked footage, Maese-Czeropski did not deny his role in the film.

The Gateway Pundit reported he is currently under investigation and facing potential criminal charges.

Despite this, Maese-Czeropski posted and then deleted a statement on LinkedIn which read, “This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda,” per the Gateway Pundit

While he did admit, “Some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement,” he claimed, “I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace.”
