“Saturday Night Live” mocked Fox News hosts for their coverage of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Laura Ingraham, played by Kate McKinnon, and Tucker Carlson, played by Alex Moffat, kicked off the show with the “Ukrainian Invasion Celebration Spectacular.”

“Good evening, everyone. I’m Tucker Carlson. I’m like if a pair of boat shoes came to life,” Moffat said as Carlson.

McKinnon as Ingraham added, “And I’m Laura Ingraham, and when I watch Harry Potter I root for Voldemort.”

They both commented on the network’s coverage of the invasion.

“I kept asking why do we hate Putin? Aren’t liberals in America even worse?” Moffat’s Carlson said.

McKinnon’s Ingraham added, “And I called the president of Ukraine pathetic. He stayed and fought with his people in the war and I called him pathetic from a news desk in Washington.”

McKinnon as Ingraham noted the two Fox News hosts were raising money for “the real victims of this invasion: the oligarchs.”

Moffat as Carlson continued, “So please open your wallets. And because this is Fox News, you can either send money or take out a reverse mortgage. So far we have raised over 8.3 billion rubles, which almost comes out to almost $12.”

The pair transitioned to guests who were on the phones raising money, including the former president played by James Austin Johnson.

During his show last month, Carlson questioned why Putin is so hated, as IJR reported.

“Anything less than hatred for Putin is treason. Many Americans have obeyed this directive. They now dutifully hate Vladimir Putin. Maybe you’re one of them. Hating Putin has become the central purpose of America’s foreign policy. It’s the main thing that we talk about. Entire cable channels are now devoted to it,” Carlson said.

He added, “Why do I hate Putin so much? Has Putin ever called me a racist? Has he threatened to get me fired for disagreeing with him? Has he shipped every middle class job in my town to Russia? Did he manufacture a worldwide pandemic that wrecked my business and kept me indoors for two years? Is he teaching my children to embrace racial discrimination? Is he making fentanyl? Is he trying to snuff out Christianity? Does he eat dogs? These are fair questions, and the answer to all of them is no. Vladimir Putin didn’t do any of that.”

Last week, The Hill reported that Fox News came in first in ratings in February amid coverage of the invasion.
