USA Gymnastics posted a video of her warm up to X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday, which displayed Biles smiling and performing with precision.

The post said, “…and that was just the warmup.”

After executing a tight routine, Biles celebrated on social media. She thanked fans on Instagram  and said, “tears of joy as I make this comeback, surrounded by the love you’ve shown!”

She noted she was, “happy to be back out on the floor!” in a post on X.

“This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions. thank you for believing in me,” she added.”

This is her first competition since leaving the 2021 Tokyo Olympics due to mental health issues.

Biles had suffered sexual abuse at the hands of USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar along with over 100 other victims, according to NBC News.

Biles testified against Nassar stating, “I don’t want another young gymnast, or Olympic athlete, or any individual to experience the horror that I and hundreds of others have endured before, during and continuing to this day in the wake of the Larry Nassar abuse.”

Her departure from the 2021 Olympics made headlines and drew concerns about what she had been through.

The Guardian reported she stated her goal at the time was, “To focus on my well-being. There is more to life than just gymnastics.”

She admitted the pressure of competing on top of the Nassar case had become an issue. She noted, “Therapy has helped a lot as well as medicine and I feel like that’s all been going really well.”

Then added, “But whenever you get in a high stress situation you freak out and you don’t really know how to handle all of those emotions, especially being here at the Olympic Games.”
