Republican Georgia Senate Candidate Herschel Walker says he has not heard President Donald Trump claim the 2020 election was stolen.

Fox 5’s Russ Spencer noted during an interview with Walker, “One of the things that has certainly motivated President Trump in giving endorsements to various candidates has been whether or not they accept his claim that the election was stolen.”

“Do you think the election was stolen?” he asked.

Walker responded, “I think reporters said that.”

“I don’t know whether President Trump ever said that because he never said that to me,” he added.

However, Spencer pushed back, “He says it over and over, please.”

“No, no, no, no. I’ve never heard President Trump ever say that,” Walker insisted.

He went on, “Everyone knows that something happened in the election cause Stacey Abrams hasn’t conceded to Brian Kemp. So she thinks something happened because she hasn’t conceded.”

“It was not something that she brought up on a regular basis for a year and a half,” Spencer pushed back.

Finally, Walker said, “I think something happened [in the election]. I don’t know what it was, but I said something happened because people are angry.”

Watch the video below:

Walker referred to Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams’ 2018 loss to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R)

After losing the gubernatorial election four years ago, Abrams claimed voter suppression played a role in her defeat.

“I will not concede, because the erosion of our democracy is not right,” she told her supporters.

However, Abrams added, “I acknowledge that former Secretary of State Brian Kemp will be certified the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial elections.”

According to USA Today, “While Abrams has maintained the 2018 gubernatorial election was unfair and tainted by voter suppression, there’s no empirical evidence that now-Gov. Kemp stole that election from her.”

“She did register over 800,000 new voters in time for the 2020 election, with help from other activists. We rate the claim PARTLY FALSE, because some of it is not supported by our research,” it added.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that the election was stolen. However, several recounts and legal challenges did not find evidence to substantiate his claims or change the results.
