MIAMI, FLORIDA - NOVEMBER 08: Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) speaks during the NBC News Republican Presidential Primary Debate at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County on November 8, 2023 in Miami, Florida. There are six people who have made the list for being former President Donald Trump’s running mate in the upcoming presidential election.

Trump talked about who was on the list with Fox News Channel’s Laura Ingraham, The Hill reported.

Three who made the list are former adversaries who vied for the GOP presidential nomination against Trump.

They are Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

The other three are Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) and former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. Gabbard served in Congress as a Democrat but has become more conservative, The Hill reported.

Trump did not say when he will announce his final pick.

“All of those people are good. They’re all solid,” Trump said.

“Trump, who remains the GOP front-runner, explained he would like a running mate who can help him from the ‘voter’s standpoint’ and said he wants someone who has ‘common sense’ on issues such as the border, electric vehicles and high interest rates,” The Hill reported.

Trump specifically and literally pointed to Scott, who was in the audience.

“A lot of people are talking about that gentleman right over there,” Trump said about a possible running mate. “And he’s been so great. He’s been such a great advocate.”

Trump continually referred to DeSantis as “Ron DeSanctimonious” throughout the primary season.

Trump and his last remaining foe before the general election, Nikki Haley, will face each other in the South Carolina primary Saturday.

Haley, the former governor of South Carolina and a former U.S. ambassador, lags behind Trump.
