President Donald Trump is alleging that the Democratic primary is “rigged” against Democratic front-runner Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

However, Sanders has responded to the president’s claims with words of advice. The latest debacle began with Trump revealing why he thinks the Democratic primary is rigged.

Readying to leave the White House for to his rally in North Carolina on Monday, Trump spoke with reporters and briefly discussed the Democratic candidates who opted to suspend their campaigns.

As previously reported on IJR, former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg announced his intent to withdraw from the presidential race and endorse Biden. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Calif.) then followed suit.

Trump shared his theory on Biden’s endorsements accusing Democrats of rigging the primary “against Bernie.”

“I think it’s rigged against Bernie,” Trump told the reporters. He went on to compare Sanders’ presidential run to his own first run in 2016.

Trump claimed the 2016 election was also rigged against him. However, he noted that he “pulled it through.” He also believes Sanders still may a chance to clinch the Democratic nomination.

“They’ll say, ‘Hey look if I win, I’ll put you in the administration.’ That’s called quid-pro-quo, right?” Trump claimed of Biden and his endorsements.

Check out Trump’s statement below:

Trump also tweeted similar sentiments accusing Democrats of “staging a coup” against Sanders.

When Sanders spoke with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Monday evening, he was asked about Trump’s comments and whether or not he agreed with the president.

Sanders fired back with a message for Trump asking him to “stay out” of Democratic politics and “spend time doing his job.”

“President Trump stay out of the Democratic primary. Why don’t you do your job for a change as president?”

Check out Sanders’ response.

Trump’s comments come in the wake of Biden’s endorsement surge ahead of Super Tuesday.

Over the last two days, Biden has received a number of notable endorsements. In addition to Klobuchar and Buttigieg, former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) also announced his endorsement of Biden.

O’Rourke also tweeted an excerpt from his statement explaining why he’s voting for Biden.

“I’m voting for Joe Biden because he can beat Donald Trump; because having him at the top of the ticket will help our down-ballot candidates, especially in Texas; and because he can bring people together to reach the ambitious goals we have for our country.”

According to The Hill, Trump speculated that Klobuchar and Buttigieg may have dropped out of the presidential race in exchange for a promise of administrative positions if Biden wins the nomination and general election.
