Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has something to say about the first presidential debate ahead of the 2020 election: “Let’s just say it was not one of the great moments in American history.”

He then turned to torch President Donald Trump as he shared his reaction to the debate on Tuesday night.

“President Trump is somebody who is a pathological liar, somebody who doesn’t believe that the rules apply to him, and somebody who is a bully,” Sanders said during Wednesday’s “The View” interview.

The Vermont senator pointed to what he views as the “most important point to be made,” which is, “Trump lied and lied and lied again,” before blasting Trump’s remarks regarding the president’s plan on health care.

Sanders’ name came up during the first debate when Trump tried tying Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden to Sanders’ push for Medicare-for-All which would completely cut private insurance.

“Your party wants to go socialist medicine and socialist health care,” Trump said. “And they’re going to dominate you, Joe, you know that.”

The former vice president then said. “My part is me. I am the Democratic Party right now. The platform of the Democratic Party is what I approved of.”

Later, Trump added, “Joe, you agreed with Bernie Sanders, who’s far left, on the manifesto, we call it. And that gives you socialized medicine.”

Biden then declared, “The fact of the matter is I beat Bernie Sanders. I beat him by a whole hell of a lot.”
