Journalist Geraldo Rivera is proposing a format for a new show to rival Fox News’ “The Five.”

In a tweet on Tuesday morning, Rivera wrote, “How’s this for a show idea? [The Four].”

“(Seriously) I know it’s derivative, but it’s still a good idea that could competitively run on any cable news channel,” he continued.

Finally, Rivera added, “An eclectic, diverse quartet of outspoken commentators-including me-covering the great events of the day, running in the 4:00pm ET hour. Thoughts?”

Rivera was one of several rotating liberal commentators on Fox News’ five-member roundtable show “The Five,” which aired at 5 p.m.

He left Fox News in June after 23 years at the network after he revealed he would no longer be on “The Five.”

“I’ve been fired from ‘The Five,’ and as a result of that, I quit Fox,” Rivera said in a video posted on Twitter.

In July, he appeared on ABC’s “The View” and revealed he had a “very toxic relationship” with one of the male co-hosts on “The Five.”

And during an appearance on CNN, Rivera shared how he felt after leaving Fox News as he said, “I feel liberated. I feel free.”

“Free at last!” he added.

He also insisted he felt “muzzled” by Fox News executives during his time at the network.
