The recording of the response to Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin’s collapse during a game this week has been released.

The New York Times published the audio of the moments following the collapse on Twitter.

“Go ahead and go over to the cot. I don’t like how he went down,” one person said on the radio.

Another said, “We’re gonna need everybody, all call, all call.”

One individual declared, “We need airway.”

The first individual then said, “Call, bring everybody. We need an airway doctor, everybody. Bring the cot with the medics.”

The Bills issued a statement on Friday providing an update on the NFL player’s condition after he suffered from a cardiac arrest.

“He continues to progress remarkably in his recovery,” the Bills said.

The statement continues, “His neurologic function remains intact and he has been able to talk to his family and care team.”

Hamlin, 24, woke up after being sedated, USA Today reported.

His first thoughts were reportedly about Monday night’s matchup between the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals.

The NFL will not be rescheduling the game between the teams.

“This has been a very difficult week,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.

He added, “We continue to focus on the recovery of Damar Hamlin and are encouraged by the improvements in his condition as well as the tremendous outpouring of support and care for Damar and his family from across the country. We are also incredibly appreciative of the amazing work of the medical personnel and commend each and every one of them.”

According to Goodell, “As we considered the football schedule, our principles have been to limit disruption across the league and minimize competitive inequities.”

He explained, “I recognize that there is no perfect solution. The proposal we are asking the ownership to consider, however, addresses the most significant potential equitable issues created by the difficult, but necessary, decision not to play the game under these extraordinary circumstances.”
