A New York City resident shared an encounter during an interview on Fox News, about how migrants come begging “door to door” in his neighborhood.

Raymond Maniscalo, a resident of Queens, discussed during an interview on “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Fox News about a recent encounter his girlfriend had with migrants from Floyd Bennett Field knocking on their door asking for money.

Maniscalo noted the migrants who showed up at the door had been turned away by his girlfriend, even though they had two little children with them.

“What they’re doing is, they’re ringing doorbells. They rang my doorbell and my girlfriend answered,” Maniscalo explained. “And, they stuck a government paid phone, telephone right in her face.”

“They’re already pre-programmed in English, and it said, ‘Can I have some money?'” Maniscalo added.

Maniscalo explained that over the Christmas holidays, the migrants have gone begging into Marine Park “at night,” leaving the neighbors “concerned.”

“They were coming in through the side doors, ringing doorbells, asking for food, asking for money,” Maniscalo said of the situation. “Just this week, they stole one woman’s laundry in front of her house.”

In addition to receiving government-paid phones to use, the migrants are also receiving “free Metro cards” which they are using to go to places like Kings Plaza to panhandle “in the middle of the street,” Maniscalo said. “It’s madness.”

“We feel bad for anybody who can’t put food on the table when they have young kids or can’t wear a warm coat in the wintertime,” Watters said. “But, I mean, this is enough. We have enough panhandlers as it is that are American citizens. We have enough thieves as it is. I mean, they’re obviously, this city is full.”

When asked by Watters whether there were jobs in the city, adding that he “thought they were coming here to work,” Maniscalo said that there was “nothing available.”

“There’s 1,700 migrants in the Floyd Bennett Field with nothing to do,” Maniscalo explained of the living conditions for migrants. “They’re freezing to death in there. They have to leave their bunker area in order to wash up and take care of their needs. The children are not being schooled, it’s a horrifying situation. It’s only going to get worse.”

Maniscalo’s comments come a week after students from James Madison High School were forced to have school remotely as migrants from Floyd Bennett Field were housed in the building due to inclement weather.

New York City Assemblywoman Jamie Williams (D) previously called for an investigation surrounding “unregistered vehicles” that were towed from Floyd Bennett Field belonging to migrants who were “begging for food and money.”
