White House press secretary Jen Psaki is not willing to spend time in the briefing room talking about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).

During her press briefing on Friday, a reporter asked Psaki if the White House is concerned a QAnon conspiracy theory supporter is serving on House committees.

“We don’t want to elevate conspiracy theories further in the briefing room. So, I’m going to leave it at that. We’ll leave decisions about committees to members of Congress and we’ve certainly seen Speaker Pelosi speak to that,” Psaki said.

Pelosi suggested during a press briefing on Thursday lawmakers need additional security because of threats from their colleagues, as IJR reported.

“I do believe, and I have said this all along, that we will probably need a supplemental for more security for members when the enemy is within the House of Representatives,” Pelosi said.

She added, “A threat that members are concerned about in addition to what is happening outside.”

Pelosi explained, “We have members of Congress that want to bring guns on the floor and have threatened violence on other members of Congress.”

In 2019, Greene liked a post that said the quickest way to remove Pelosi from her position was for her to get “a bullet to the head.”

A video from March of 2019 resurfaced of Greene harassing Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg, as IJR reported.

During an interview with CNN, Hogg called on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to hold Greene accountable.

“My message to Kevin McCarthy is take all of her committee assignments away, along with that also, don’t support her when she runs for re-election again, and try to get her primaried,” Hogg said.

He continued, “If you say this is not your party, actually call it out and hold her accountable because Republicans always act as if they’re the party of decency and respect, but would the party of decency and respect question whether or not school shootings happened?”

Chairman of the House Ethics Committee Ted Deutch called for Greene to be expelled from office for supporting false claims the Parkland massacre was a “false flag” operation.
