Protesters confronted Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) demanding she support President Joe Biden’s agenda.

Bloomberg reporter Jennifer Epstein tweeted the video, adding, “Protesters followed Sen. Sinema into the bathroom at Arizona State University to confront her on Build Back Better and immigration.”

As the protesters followed Sinema, she let them know, “Actually, I’m heading out.” They proceeded to follow her into the bathroom.

One protester told the senator, “We knocked on doors for you to get you elected. Just how we got you elected, we can get you out of office if you don’t support what you promised us.”

Another protester added, “We need the Build Back Better plan right now.”

One of the protesters recalled how she was brought to the United States, explaining, “I was brought here to the United States when I was three years old and in 2010 my grandparents both got deported because of S.B. 1070.”

She added, “And I’m here because I definitely believe that we need a pathway to citizenship.”

Several came to Sinema’s defense on Twitter following the incident.

What kind of disgusting sicko films someone urinating in a public bathroom stall? https://t.co/Rc8abghJHy

When you have @aoc, @SenSanders and his Soviet deputies out on all the Sunday talk shows, along with this harassment of @SenatorSinema, there is no doubt this is a Communist Cult being run by @JoeBiden – Build Back Better is their Communist/collectivist takeover costing $4.5 T https://t.co/CimJhot8vm

Former Trump senior advisor Stephen Miller wrote, “An illegal alien is stalking a US Senator to demand passage of Biden’s reconciliation bill b/c it includes mass amnesty for illegals. In a functioning democracy, ICE would swiftly deport this person, but under Biden’s new edict (as the lawbreaker knows) she’s immune from removal.”

Rep.  Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) continued, “This is insane. Stop this madness people, doesn’t help your cause even if it makes you feel better.”

CNN notes Sinema and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) have both voiced opposition to the $3.5 trillion spending bill. In a statement on Saturday, Sinema blasted the House Democrats delaying their vote for the legislation.

“I have never, and would never, agree to any bargain that would hold one piece of legislation hostage to another,” she said.

Sinema added, “Good-faith negotiations, however, require trust. Over the course of this year, Democratic leaders have made conflicting promises that could not all be kept – and have, at times, pretended that differences of opinion within our party did not exist, even when those disagreements were repeatedly made clear directly and publicly.”

Additionally, she argued, “Canceling the infrastructure vote further erodes that trust. More importantly, it betrays the trust the American people have placed in their elected leaders and denies our country crucial investments to expand economic opportunities.”
