President Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, is publishing a second book to examine the long-lasting effects of her uncle’s policies.
“Once more with feeling: I’m very happy to announce that my next book is coming out in July 2021,” Mary Trump wrote on Twitter Tuesday.

St. Martin’s Press released a description of her book.
“THE RECKONING will examine America’s national trauma, rooted in our history but dramatically exacerbated by the impact of current events and the Trump administration’s corrupt and immoral policies. Our failure to acknowledge this trauma, let alone root it out, has allowed it to metastasize,” the description reads.
It goes on, “Whether it manifests itself in rising levels of rage and hatred, or hopelessness and apathy, the stress of living in a country we no longer recognize has affected all of us. America is suffering from PTSD—a new leader alone cannot fix us.”
Her announcement comes just months after she released her book, “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man,” as IJR previously reported.
The president did not shy away from criticizing her amid her book release in July.
“Next up is Mary Trump, a seldom-seen niece who knows little about me, says untruthful things about my wonderful parents (who couldn’t stand her!) and me, and violated her NDA. She also broke the Law by givng out my tax returns. She’s a mess!” he wrote on Twitter.
In August, Mary Trump took aim at her uncle for his pandemic response, as IJR previously reported.
She considered whether the president should be charged with “negligent homicide.”
Mary Trump filed a lawsuit in September against her uncle, his sister Maryanne Trump Barry and their brother Robert Trump for fraud.
During her appearance on CNN, she weighed in on the president’s refusal to concede the election and work with President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team.
“It’s despicable. It’s criminal. And the Republicans need to be held accountable just as much as Donald does at this point,” Mary Trump said.
