Planned Parenthood recently made a bold claim about abortion rights. On May 31, Planned Parenthood posted a video to its official Twitter page of a biological woman named Lucky, who identifies as a man, emphasizing why it's important for her to share her "abortion story." "When it comes to your abortion, any reason is the right reason. Telling your abortion story is important, and the more we talk about this essential form of health care, the more normalized it becomes," the organization wrote in the caption. Many Twitter users slammed Planned Parenthood for its statement. "The mass slaughter of children in the womb is a big part of why the West in (sic) under God's judgment right now, repent of your heinous evil and know the grace and mercy of God," one user wrote. Another user wrote, "'Any reason is the right reason.' This organization is evil." "Abortion is a medical intervention specifically designed to cause the death of a child. It is not healthcare," another user wrote. https://twitter.com/PPFA/status/1663938684033421313?s=20 The user referred to abortion as murder and stated, "No reason is a right reason." “'Any reason is the right reason.' That is some mindset," another user wrote. Another user scorched Planned Parenthood, referring to the organization as, "evil, pure, unmitigated evil" people. In a 2021-2022 annual report posted on Planned Parenthood’s website, Planned Parenthood said it performed 374,155 abortions, which were referred to as “health services.” In June 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade. The organization addressed the significant change in its report and expressed that it would fight back. “As we prepared for a new reality without the federal constitutional right to abortion, Planned Parenthood knew we would not win back our rights overnight. Building a future in which all people have control over their health and lives will require a deep, strong foundation," Planned Parenthood wrote. The organization added, "We have to smash the culture of shame and stigma that surround sexual and reproductive health, recruit new partners to the movement, and remind the world that we are fighting for freedom."
