White House Trade Advisor Peter Navarro is indicating Trump administration officials are confident President Donald Trump will serve another four years in office.

“We’re moving forward here at the White House under the assumption that there will be a second Trump term,” Navarro said during an appearance on Fox News Friday.

He continued, “I think it’s really important, before peoples’ heads explode here, to understand that what we seek here is verifiable ballots, certifiable ballots, and an investigation into what are growing numbers of allegations of fraud undersigned affidavits by witnesses.”

Navarro added, “My own view, looking at this election, we have what appears in some sense to be, an immaculate deception.”

Earlier this week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo suggested there will be another Trump term, as IJR previously reported.

“There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration,” Pompeo said.

He was later asked during an appearance on Fox News if he was joking.

“We’ll have a smooth transition and we’ll see what the people ultimately decided when all the votes have been cast,” Pompeo said.

He continued, “I am very confident that we will have a good transition. That we will make sure that whoever is in office on noon on January 20, has all the tools readily available so that we don’t skip a beat with the capacity to keep Americans safe.”

Other Republican lawmakers have urged Trump to keep fighting.

During his appearance on Fox News Sunday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) encouraged Trump not to concede, as IJR previously reported.

“We will work with Biden if he wins, but Trump has not lost. Do not concede, Mr. President. Fight hard,” Graham said.

In contrast, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told Republicans to accept the results of the election.

“The election is over. It wasn’t close. President Trump lost. Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States. Kamala Harris will the be next Vice President of the United States,” Schumer said during a press conference on Thursday.

President-elect Joe Biden cemented his victory when he was projected to win Arizona late Thursday. After clinching Arizona, Biden has garnered 290 electoral votes.
