House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has an idea what may behind what some have called President Donald Trump‘s “erratic behavior” in recent days.

Pelosi previously said that she has not spoken to Trump in several months as their roughly years-long feud continues. During an appearance on ABC’s “The View” on Wednesday, she was asked if there was a way that the two leaders could diffuse the situation.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked if Pelosi would consider calling the president or even visiting the White House to end the feud.

She responded, “I wouldn’t go anywhere near the White House. It’s one of the most dangerous places in the country. Both in terms of the assault it makes on truth as well as health.”

She continued to note that their last encounter was in early-February at the State of the Union address, where she ripped up the transcript of Trump’s speech at the conclusion.

“After that, I said to my staff, I said, ‘I think he was medicated. There’s something wrong with how he came on and presented.’ I said yesterday to my colleagues, I said, ‘There are those who say, that steroids have an impact on people’s thinking.’ I don’t know, but there are those healthcare providers who say that,” she continued.

Pelosi’s comments about steroids appear to be a direct reference to the news that Trump has been given dexamethasone — a steroid that has been used to address patients who are seriously ill with COVID-19.

She also said the virus could have an impact on an individual’s thinking.

While she speculated that Trump’s medications to help him combat the coronavirus, she also said, “I think that the president has always had erratic behavior.”

“I could never explain to you any rational, linear path of action on the part of the president,” she added.
