House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is not holding back when speaking about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and other Democratic lawmakers who are part of the “squad.”

She “unloads” on the “squad” in a new biography, according to Axios.

In the biography, “Madam Speaker: Nancy Pelosi and the Lessons of Power,” by Susan Page, USA Today’s Washington bureau chief, Pelosi delivered a blunt message to “the squad” when talking about Ocasio-Cortez.

“You’re not a one-person show. This is the Congress of the United States,” Pelosi said.

Members of the initial “squad” include Reps. Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.). A few recently joined the “squad,” including Reps. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) and Cori Bush (D-Mo.).

Pelosi also took aim at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), saying he “is not a force for good in the country. He is an enabler of some of the worst stuff, and an instigator of some of it on his own.”

Touching on former President Donald Trump’s win in the 2016 presidential election, Pelosi told Page it was “like a mule kicking you in the back over and over again.”

“The election of Donald Trump was stunningly scary, and it was justified to be scared. How could they elect such a person — who talked that way about women, who was so crude and … to me, creepy,” she said.

Page conducted 10 interviews with Pelosi for the biography, which is set to be published on April 20.
