Pamela Anderson made a claim about actor Tim Allen in her upcoming memoir, according to a report.
Variety obtained an excerpt of Anderson’s memoir titled, “Love, Pamela,” in which she recalls a disturbing experience she allegedly had on the set of “Home Improvement.”
She wrote, “On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably.”
The memoir notes Anderson was 23 at the time while Allen was 37.
Allen issued a statement to Variety responding to the allegation.
“No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing,” Allen said.
The book is expected to be released on Jan. 31.
According to publisher Harper Collins, the book “alternates between storytelling and her own poetry.”
The website explained, “Her blond bombshell image was ubiquitous in the 1990s. Discovered in the stands of a football game, she was immediately rocket launched into fame, becoming Playboy’s favorite cover girl and an emblem of Hollywood glamour and sexuality.”
The description continues, “But what happens when you lose grip on your own life—and the image the notoriety machine creates for you is not who you really are?”
Noting Anderson’s childhood was “not easy,” Harper Collins explained, “But it allowed her to create her own world—surrounded by nature and imaginary friends. When she overcame her deep shyness and grew into herself, she fell into a life on the cover of magazines, the beaches of Malibu, the sets of movies and talk shows, the arms of rockstars, the coveted scene at the Playboy Mansion.”
Anderson also examined how she “lost control of her own narrative” got “hurt by the media” and became “fearful of the public’s perception of who she was…and who she wasn’t.”
Additionally, as Variety reported, the book addresses the hit Hulu series “Pam and Tommy.”
The series explores the infamous event when a sex tape between Anderson and then-husband Tommy Lee was stolen from her residence.
