Former President Barack Obama is offering Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) his best wishes and sharing his thoughts about Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

“So tell me about Joe and your relationship with Joe, and what do I need to know?” Harris asked Obama in a joint virtual conversation posted on Tuesday in a campaign video. “Like what’s the thing about the ice cream. He loves ice cream. Tell me about that.”

Obama joked with Harris, “Well, listen, ice cream is big. Pasta with red sauce. He can go deep on that. He really does like those aviator glasses, he knows he looks good in ‘em.'”

The former president then noted “the main thing to know about Joe” is “Joe has never lost his sense of why we do this, and we do it because of you know for him, memories of his family back in Scranton and then the people of Delaware that he represented, the folks on the Amtrak train he met each and every day.”

He added, “His focus is going to be how’s that going to help those people who sent him there.”

Obama then said that any joint event with Biden and Harris may take “a little longer” than what is on the schedule because Biden will “talk to every single person,” to which Harris responded, “I love that about him, too.”

The former president also wished Harris best wishes ahead of the upcoming election in November, as he said, “I’m going to be doing everything I can and Michelle will be, too, to make sure that we have a good Election Day.”

Harris, who is Biden’s running mate, will debate Vice President Mike Pence on Oct. 7 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The first of three presidential debates between Biden and President Donald Trump is scheduled for Sept. 29 in Cleveland, Ohio.
