Former President Barack Obama is speaking out about the 2020 presidential election and President Donald Trump’s refusal to concede the race.

During his CBS “60 Minutes” interview, which is set to air in full on Sunday, Obama addressed Trump’s claims that there is widespread election fraud, which the president has claimed without evidence.

“They appear to be motivated, in part, because the president doesn’t like to lose and never admits loss,” Obama said.

He continued, “I’m more troubled by the fact that other Republican officials who clearly know better are going along with this, are humoring him in this fashion.”

“It is one more step in delegitimizing not just the incoming Biden administration, but democracy generally. And that’s a dangerous path.”

Trump has refused to concede and his campaign has instead filed lawsuits in multiple states. Late Thursday, President-elect Joe Biden was projected to win Arizona which would cement his victory with 290 Electoral College votes — there are 270 electoral votes need to win the White House.
