Former President Barack Obama jokingly has a suggestion for a way to get President Donald Trump out of the White House if he refuses to leave, following Joe Biden being projected the winner of the presidential election.

Obama was jokingly asked during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” if there are places in the White House “where someone could hide” if they knew “they were going to be removed,” as host Jimmy Kimmel asked.

“Are there cubby holes or anything that you know about?” Kimmel continued.

Obama answered, “Well, I think we can always send the Navy SEALs in there to dig ‘em out.”

The former president also said he did not feel he was premature in congratulating Biden and vice president-elect Kamala Harris on their victory, “No, I thought I was right on time. There seems to be some lag.”

He went on to say, “The communication system in the White House used to be better. It was real-time, you know, there’s a lot of computers there that actually tell you what is going on around the world.”

See Obama’s comments below (starting at 10:30):

Asked if it will be weird to call Biden “Mr. President” — as Biden was his vice president in his administration — but Obama said, “No. I’ve already called him Mr. President-elect.”

Obama has indicated that he “absolutely” believes it is time for Trump to concede the presidential election, as IJR previously reported.

“My advice to President Trump is if you want at this late stage of the game to be remembered as somebody who put country first, it’s time for you to do the same thing,” the former president said recently during a “60 Minutes” interview.

Several major outlets projected on Nov. 7 Biden the winner of the election, as he received 306 Electoral College votes — more than the 270 needed to win the White House. Trump received 232 electoral votes.

But, the president has not backed down and soon after the election launched lawsuits in multiple states. Judges in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Georgia have rejected lawsuits by Trump’s campaign, according to CNN.

Biden told reporters on Thursday, “I am confident [Trump] knows he hasn’t won and he’s not going to be able to win, and we’re going to be sworn in on Jan. 20.”
