South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) is adamant her state will not be accepting illegal immigrants.

“South Dakota won’t be taking any illegal immigrants that the Biden Administration wants to relocate. My message to illegal immigrants… call me when you’re an American,” Noem tweeted on Wednesday.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) also last week said her state would not house migrant children displaced amid the border crisis.

“We will not do that,” Reynolds said. “We don’t have the facilities. We are not set up to do that. This is not our problem; this is the president’s problem.”

She continued, “He’s the one that’s opened the borders. He needs to be responsible for this and he needs to stop it. So, at this point, no.”

Special Assistant to the President for Immigration for the Domestic Policy Council Tyler Moran told MSNBC on Monday the Biden administration has solidified agreements with Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala to secure their borders to help with the flow of migration.

“We’ve secured agreements for them to put more troops on their own border. Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala have all agreed to do this. That not only is going to prevent the traffickers, and the smugglers, and cartels that take advantage of the kids on their way here, but also to protect those children,” Moran said.

An analysis found 1.2 million illegal immigrants are expected to be apprehended at the southern border in 2021 alone.

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was tapped to handle the situation at the southern border, will soon make a trip to the Northern Triangle and Mexico, as IJR reported.

According to the White House pool report, Harris said she is “happy” to take a trip to the Northern Triangle which is made up of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
