Lemon sparked backlash last week after suggesting Haley is “not in her prime.”

CNN CEO Chris Licht sent a memo out about a conversation he had with Lemon regarding the issue Monday evening, as IJR reported.

“I sat down with Don and had a frank and meaningful conversation. He has agreed to participate in formal training, as well as continuing to listen and learn. We take this situation very seriously,” Licht said.

He added, “It is important to me that CNN balances accountability with a fostering a culture in which people can own, learn and grow from their mistakes. To that end, Don will return to CNN This Morning on Wednesday.”

Haley also addressed the criticism during an appearance on Fox News Tuesday.

“It’s not a surprise. They’ve done this for a long time. You read the poll numbers of how I do with independents and suburban women and all of those. They know that I am the biggest threat that liberals have ever seen, and they’re scared about it,” Haley said.

She continued, “But what I’ll tell you is, you want to tell me I’m past my prime? Hold my beer and watch this, because I’m telling you where we are going to take America is going to change all of that. And they know how hard I’ll work, and they know how tough I am. Bring it. We’re ready.”

Earlier this month, Haley officially launched her campaign for president, as IJR reported.

“I don’t put up with bullies. And when you kick back, it hurts them more if you’re wearing heels,” Haley said in her video message.

The New York Times pointed out Haley faces several obstacles when it comes to her run for the White House.

According to early polling, former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) lead her significantly.
