Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley argues re-nominating former President Donald Trump would be “like suicide”for the United States.

During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Haley said of her decision to keep running for president, “I’m doing what I think is right.”

“I’m doing what I believe 70% of Americans want me to do,” she added.

The Journal noted the a poll from the paper recently found seven in 10 voters said they want a choice other than Trump or President Joe Biden.

She turned to warn Republicans against re-nominating the former president, saying, “You have to see the writing on the wall, you have to see the hole in the ship.”

“And if you don’t see the hole in the ship, we’re all going to go down,” she insisted.

Haley then knocked Trump as he is facing 91 criminal indictments and suggested his campaign is “is survival mode to pay his legal fees and get out of some sort of legal peril.”

However, she said of him likely winning his party’s nomination, “This is like suicide for our country.”

“We’ve got to realize that if we don’t have someone who can win a general election, all we are doing is caving to the socialist left,” she added.

In a post on Truth Social on Monday, Trump bashed Haley, asking, “When will Nikki realize she is just a bad candidate?”

Haley’s interview comes after she lost the South Carolina primary to Trump.

She even failed to win her home town in the primary.
