Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac responded to NBA Legend Charles Barkley’s rant over Bud Light and the LGBT community.

On Tuesday, Issac responded to a quote on Twitter from Barkley where he spoke about being “canceled” for his support of the beer brand.

“What does this even mean? No one with human decency want (sic) trans or gay people dead or without rights.. God bless them all..but it’s 1000% valid as a parent or adult to be concerned about the observable movement to influence children,” he wrote, inquiring if it was “hateful.”

Isaac continued:

“It’s insane that In order to be the primary influence on your children you have to go to war against influencers, the media, movies, multi million and billion dollar corporations, and good people like Charles who choose to fall in line with empty politically correct statements and narratives.”

Isaac claimed nothing Barkley “said would get him cancelled (sic)” and “it’s wild that he thinks it would.”

In a viral clip posted to TikTok by user @l._banana, Barkley is heard encouraging bar-goers to support the beer brand.

“I want y’all to drink this f***ing beer. I want y’all to drink this f***ing beer,” he said, telling the crowd he had “three cases of Bud Light.”

He added, “Hey, and I want to say this.… If you’re gay, bless you. If you’re transgender, bless you. And if you have a problem with that, f*** you!”

This came after Anheuser-Busch, Bud Light’s parent company, received backlash for its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Anheuser-Busch’s CEO Brendan Whitworth addressed the controversy in a press release on June 15.

“We are a beer company, and beer is for everyone,” the release reads.

“As we move forward, we will focus on what we do best – brewing great beer and earning our place in moments that matter to you. Here’s to a future with more cheers,” Whitworth concluded.
